Privacy Policy — Tee Sniper
Last updated: October 28, 2026.
Tee Sniper is operated by 1575469 B.C. LTD., doing business as Tee Sniper.
Extension operation and license verification
The extension stores your settings and activation code locally in your browser. When verifying your license, it sends your activation code and a persistent installation identifier to the Tee Sniper license service. These are used to check the license and its installation binding. The service also receives connection information such as your IP address. The report-specific retention and logging statements below do not describe license-service records.
Booking automation interacts with the supported CPS booking portal through the course session you have opened. Course account and reservation processing are also subject to the course or booking provider's privacy practices. The compatibility-report feature described below is separate from license verification and booking.
Optional compatibility reports
Your choice
Tee Sniper can optionally send a compatibility report when you explicitly choose Send after viewing the exact report contents. Reports are never sent automatically. These reports help us understand compatibility with CPS booking portals.
In the signed Firefox extension, optional reporting also requires the relevant Firefox data-collection permissions. Granting those permissions alone does not send a report; you must still review the report and choose Send. You may decline optional reporting without losing licensed booking functionality. Optional report permissions can be managed through the extension's settings.
What a report contains
A report contains exactly six fields:
1. The CPS portal hostname.
2. The detected page/skin family.
3. The detected language code, or und when undetermined.
4. The coarse booking/report outcome.
5. Your Tee Sniper extension version.
6. The UTC time the report preview was created, rounded down to the minute. This is not the booking time or tee time.
The report does not include your name, email address, license key, password, account details, install ID, or booking details beyond the coarse outcome field listed above. It does not include free-form text, cookies, sampled page content, or browsing history beyond the CPS portal hostname listed above.
The skin and language are detected locally from page structure and limited control-label text; the sampled page content itself is never transmitted.
Connection information and abuse prevention
As with any HTTPS request, our hosting provider processes your connection IP address. The compatibility endpoint uses that IP only for short-lived rate limiting and duplicate suppression. IP addresses are not written to report lines.
Limiter records become eligible for deletion after 24 hours; scheduled daily cleanup means physical deletion can take up to 48 hours after the last accepted report.
Retention, hosting logs and backups
Accepted reports are retained for the current UTC calendar month plus the preceding 11 months, then deleted by daily cleanup: up to 12 calendar months, subject to the daily cleanup schedule.
Our hosting provider discards raw access logs within hours of processing. Monthly archived copies are kept in the hosting account and deleted by daily cleanup after reaching 90 days.
Automatic account backups are not enabled for our hosting account, and we do not create manual backups of the hosting account while compatibility reporting is active.
Coverage limitation
This release runs on https://*.cps.golf/* only. CPS portals on white-label or custom domains do not run the extension and cannot be reported through it. The compatibility map therefore has gaps. Absence of a report is not evidence that a course is unsupported.
Optional auto sign-in
Auto sign-in is off unless you turn it on. If you turn it on, you enter your course account's email and password in the Tee Sniper panel on that course's booking site. The extension keeps them only in your browser's local extension storage on that computer, linked to that one course site, and uses them only to sign you back in there when the site logs you out while Tee Sniper is armed. They are never sent to Tee Sniper, Tee Groups or any other course; they are sent only to that course's own sign-in page, the same as when you sign in yourself.
The extension makes at most two sign-in attempts per logout. It stops sooner if the course shows a message that the sign-in was rejected, and it never tries to get past an "are you human" check. Anyone who can use your computer's browser profile may be able to read locally stored extension data, so only turn this on on a computer you trust. To remove the stored details, clear the email field and click Save, or remove the extension.
Optional Tee Groups connection
Tee Groups (teesniper.club) is our group tee-time planner. Connecting it is optional; Tee Sniper books tee times the same way whether or not you connect it.
If you connect Tee Groups, you paste a connection code created on teesniper.club into the extension. The extension keeps that code locally in your browser; Tee Groups stores only a one-way fingerprint (hash) of it, not the code itself. After Tee Sniper confirms a booking, it sends that booking's course name, date, tee time, time zone and number of players, together with a random identifier so the same booking is never added twice, to teesniper.club. Tee Groups adds it to the group you chose, or to your Tee Groups inbox, where it is visible to you and, once added to a group, to that group's members.
The connection does not send your license key, your CPS course-account details or password, your booking confirmation number, payment details or any other page content. If Tee Groups cannot be reached, the booking waits in your browser and is retried for up to 7 days; after that it is listed in the extension as not sent and is not sent later.
The "Add booking to Tee Groups" button, shown when you have not connected, sends the same booking details only when you click it, by opening teesniper.club with those details in the link.
As with any HTTPS request, our hosting provider processes your connection IP address; Tee Groups uses it only for short-lived, in-memory rate limiting. Bookings stay in Tee Groups until they are deleted there. You can disconnect at any time in the Tee Sniper panel or on Tee Groups; disconnecting on Tee Groups makes the code stop working immediately.
